CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME

When a more powerful person uses a less powerful person for sexual gratification is sexual abuse.  When an adult uses a child for his or her own sexual gratification. There are two types of abuses (i) Touching and (ii) non -touching abuses. Exposure to ponography, taking photographs of children in sexualized manner, communicating in a sexual way comes under non -touching abuse. Kissing, fondling, oral sex, anal or vaginal intercourse comes under touching abuse. The offenders depends on secracy. They use child as their victim because they are less powerful than adults and they have limited information regarding sexual matter. The abusers use child's fear, embarassement or guilt as their tool. There are many ill effects of sexual abuse, both physical and mental effects. Sexually transmitted infections, urinary infection, unusual smells or bleedings are some physical problems. Behavioural effects are shame, guilt, mental illness, depression, anxiety. HEALTH -OBESITY

Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It is a medical problem that increases your risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers.
There are many reasons why some people have difficulty avoiding obesity. Usually, obesity results from a combination of inherited factors, combined with the environment and personal diet and exercise choices.
The good news is that even modest weight loss can improve or prevent the health problems associated with obesity. Dietary changes, increased physical activity and behavior changes can help you lose weight. Prescription medications and weight-loss procedures are additional options for treating obesity.
Causes
Although there are genetic, behavioral, metabolic and hormonal influences on body weight, obesity occurs when you take in more calories than you burn through exercise and normal daily activities. Your body stores these excess calories as fat.
Most Americans' diets are too high in calories — often from fast food and high-calorie beverages. People with obesity might eat more calories before feeling full, feel hungry sooner, or eat more due to stress or anxiety.

Risk factors

Obesity usually results from a combination of causes and contributing factors:

Family inheritance and influences

The genes you inherit from your parents may affect the amount of body fat you store, and where that fat is distributed. Genetics may also play a role in how efficiently your body converts food into energy, how your body regulates your appetite and how your body burns calories during exercise.
Obesity tends to run in families. That's not just because of the genes they share. Family members also tend to share similar eating and activity habits.
Lifestyle choices
  • Unhealthy diet. A diet that's high in calories, lacking in fruits and vegetables, full of fast food, and laden with high-calorie beverages and oversized portions contributes to weight gain.
  • Liquid calories. People can drink many calories without feeling full, especially calories from alcohol. Other high-calorie beverages, such as sugared soft drinks, can contribute to significant weight gain.
  • Inactivity. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, you can easily take in more calories every day than you burn through exercise and routine daily activities. Looking at computer, tablet and phone screens is a sedentary activity. The number of hours you spend in front of a screen is highly associated with weight gain.

YOGA VRIKSHASANAM

Vriksasana or Tree Pose is an asana. This posture is a close replica of the steady, yet graceful stance of a tree. The name comes from the Sanskrit words vriksa or vriksha meaning “tree”, and asana  meaning “posture”. For this pose, unlike most other yoga poses, you are required to keep your eyes open so that your body can balance itself. This asana has a host of benefits.
It is best to practice tree pose yoga on an empty stomach. There must be a minimum of four to six hours between your meal and the practice. This will give your body enough time to digest the food and energize your body, making it ready for activity.

However, it might be ideal to perform the Vrikshasana in the morning. This asana involves focus and concentration, and it is best to channelize this in the morning when your mind is clear of the worries and stress from the happenings of the day.
  1. Stand absolutely erect and drop your arms to the side of your body.
  2. Slightly bend your right knee, and then, place the right foot high up on your left thigh. Make sure that the sole is placed firm and flat on the root of the thigh.
  3. Your left leg needs to be absolutely erect. Once you have assumed this position, breathe, and find your balance.
  4. Now, inhale, and gently raise your arms over your head and bring them together in a ‘namaste’ mudra.
  5. Look straight at a distant object and hold your gaze. This will help you maintain balance.
  6. Keep your spine straight. Note that your body needs to be taut, yet elastic. Take in deep breaths, and every time you exhale, relax your body more.
  7. Gently bring your hands down from the sides, and release the right leg.
  8. Come back to the original position of standing tall and straight as you did at the beginning of the practice. Repeat this pose with the left leg.

    Benefits Of Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)

Vrikshasana has numerous benefits. Take a look at the good it can do to your body, if practiced regularly.
    1. It strengthens the spine while improving both balance and poise.
    2. It improves and aids neuro-muscular coordination.
    3. It tones the leg muscles while making the ligaments and tendons of the feet stronger.
    4. The knees become stronger, and the hip joints are loosened.
    5. The eyes, inner ears, and shoulders are also strengthened in this pose.

INNOVATIVE WORK REPORT

A work of innovation was done by me as part of the B.Ed curriculum. I attempted to show the "adjectives"which is included in the coursebook of standard VIIII. I began the work by providing a brief introduction about the adjectives along with word. Then I wrote the meaning lines on the opposite side of the innovative clock work the detailed explanation of the lines was given on the right side. An arrow mark were pasted for enhancing visual beauty. It is said that "a chart cutting clock is worth a thousand words".Visual aids encourage students' learning  process and make it easier and interesting. Therefore I believe that this work will help the students to understand the adjectives  with much ease. I have also introduced a few terms that are related to the  work. chart clock were also added. A crossword  was included at the end of the work for making the work interesting.
